Center Staff

Stephen Anderson

Dr. Stephen Anderson is the director of the Center for Applied Research in Human Development and a professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, University of Connecticut . His research interests include evaluation of prevention and clinical intervention programs, adolescent and youth development, and assessment of marital and family functioning. He is co-author of two books on family therapy and an undergraduate textbook on family interaction. He has received the postgraduate research award from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Award for Distinguished Contribution from the Profession of Marriage and Family Therapy, and University Alumni Fellow Award from Kansas State University .

Maureen Mulroy

Dr. Maureen Mulroy is the associate director of the Center for Applied Research in Human Development and an associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, University of Connecticut . Her research interests include designing community education programs for children, youth, and families; parent education; preventative education programs for children and youth at-risk; and program evaluation methodology.

Jennifer Trachtenberg

Dr. Jennifer Trachtenberg is a research associate at the Center for Applied Research and adjunct faculty member in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, University of Connecticut .

Jessican Todaro

Jessica Sanderson has been working as a research assistant at the Center since September 2005. Her duties at the Center involve coordination of youth program evaluation projects and assistance with report preparation. Jessica graduated with a Master's degree from the marriage and family therapy program at the University of Connecticut . She is currently a doctoral student at UConn, majoring in marriage and family therapy at the department of Human Development and Family Studies. Her research interests include urban families and youth development.

Iva Kosutic

Iva Kosutic has been working as a research assistant at the Center since September 2005. Her duties at the Center involve coordination of youth program evaluation projects and assistance with report preparation. Iva graduated with a Master's degree from the marriage and family therapy program at the University of Connecticut . She is currently a doctoral student at UConn, majoring in marriage and family therapy at the department of Human Development and Family Studies. Her research interests include youth development, youth leadership, diversity issues in therapy and education, and therapist training.

 

Kristi Palmer has joined the Center's research team in September 2007. Her duties at the Center involve coordination of youth program evaluation projects and assistance with report preparation.
